FOS publishes latest complaints data

The latest quarterly complaints data from FOS reveals:

  • 38,470 new complaints from July – September 2022 (Q2), an increase of 3,000 on Q1;
  • nearly 6,000 complaints about current accounts (up by 500)
  • nearly 3,400 about credit cards (about the same)
  • around 2,700 about motor insurance (slightly up)
  • over 2,000 about motor hire purchase (up nearly 300)
  • nearly 1,700 about personal loans (again up nearly 300)

The FOS uphold rate remains constant at 34% in the consumer’s favour.
