The latest quarterly complaints data from FOS reveals:
- 38,470 new complaints from July – September 2022 (Q2), an increase of 3,000 on Q1;
- nearly 6,000 complaints about current accounts (up by 500)
- nearly 3,400 about credit cards (about the same)
- around 2,700 about motor insurance (slightly up)
- over 2,000 about motor hire purchase (up nearly 300)
- nearly 1,700 about personal loans (again up nearly 300)
The FOS uphold rate remains constant at 34% in the consumer’s favour.
