Emma RadmoreFCA has published data on the number of whistleblower reports it received in Q1 of 2022. It received 276 new reports containing 540 allegations, almost half through the online reporting form.
The reports usually relate to:
- fitness and propriety
- TCF
- FSMA
- culture and
- compliance
In the last quarter, over 100 reports related to fitness and propriety, with sizeable amount for the other areas. Other reports related to fraud, systems and controls, SYSC 18 (relating to the poor handling by a firm of a whistleblow) and data security, and also included nearly 20 about unauthorised business.
