Fraud Act Committee launches call for evidence

The House of Lords Committee on the Fraud Act 2006 and Digital Fraud has launched a call for evidence on what measures should be taken to tackle the increase in fraud cases. In particular, the Committee would like to hear from victims of fraud on its questions in the following areas:

  • fraud landscape;
  • action to tackle fraud;
  • legislative remedies; and
  • best practice.

The call for evidence is open until midday on 22 April 2022 and the responses received will feed into the Committee’s wider inquiry which is due to be reported on by 30 November 2022.
