FOS consults on strategic plans and budget for 2022/23

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has published its annual consultation on its proposed plans and budget for the upcoming financial year (2022/23).

The consultation includes information relating to:

• The volume of complaints that FOS expects to receive and turn around;
• FOS’ priorities for 2022/21;
• FOS’ proposed budget for 2022/23;
• The proposed funding arrangements including the levy and case fees; and
• The progress FOS has made this financial year.

The consultation closes on 31 January 2022, until which time responses can be submitted via an online form. FOS will then publish its final plans and budget for 2022/23 before the end of the current financial year, following approval by the FCA.
