EBA publishes draft guidelines on remote onboarding

EBA is consulting on draft guidelines for the use of remote customer onboarding solutions under MLD4.  It aims to set common EU standards on developing and implementing sound, risk-sensitive initial CDD policies and processes in the remote customer onboarding context. The guidelines look at steps financial institutions should take when choosing remote onboarding tools and assessing how adequate and reliable the tools are.

Consultation closes on 10 March 2022.
