FCA announces changes to its executive committee

The FCA has appointed Stephen Braviner Roman as both General Counsel and a member of its Executive Committee. He is expected to join the FCA in February 2022 from the Government Legal Department where he currently holds the position of Director General of Litigation, Justice and Security. The previous General Counsel, David Scott, who was appointed on an interim basis, will continue at the FCA part-time during a handover period.

Megan Butler will step down from her role as Executive Director of Transformation in the spring, from which time Emily Shepperd will lead the FCA’s transformation programme. Alongside this, Emily Shepperd will continue her role as Executive Director of Authorisations.
