PSR panel publishes annual report

The PSR panel has published its annual report for 2020/21 which outlines how it has engaged with the PSR over the last year. Key themes that the panel highlighted over the last 12 months include the rapid acceleration in the pace of change and increasing complexity of the regulatory landscape and the potential long-term impacts of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU on consumers, competition and innovation in payments. The report also lists the following as key priority issues for the panel in the last year:

  • Covid-19;
  • Access to cash;
  • Confirmation of payee; and
  • Consumer protections in interbank payments.
