Georgina Philippou, Senior Adviser to FCA on the Public Sector Equality Duty gave a speech at the launch of a report by the Investment Associate and Eversheds entitled “Building Ethnic Diversity and Inclusion in Investment Management”.
The speech addressed:
- diversity and inclusion within FCA itself as an employer;
- how diversity and inclusion considerations inform the ways in which FCA tries to influence firms’ culture through regulation; and
- the ways in which FCA’s status as a public body and particularly its being subject to the Public Sector Equality Duty require it to consider diversity and inclusion in all of its interactions with firms.
