Government provides update on Australia free trade negotiations

The Department for International Trade published a press release with an update on the ongoing negotiation of a free trade agreement between the UK and Australia. The fourth round of talks took place between 22 February and 5 March 2021. Negotiators held 51 negotiating sessions addressing 27 different areas including anti-corruption, financial services and good regulatory practice.

The negotiation teams have now planned an intensive period of intersessional discussions in the coming weeks ahead of a fifth round of talks.
