FCA updates on duty of care

In its Feedback Statement on duty of care and potential alternative approaches, the FCA committed to reviewing how it applies the regulatory framework and how new or revised Principles for Businesses could strengthen and clarify firms’ duties to consumers.

This work was delayed as a result of the pandemic and the FCA has now announced that it intends to consult in May 2021.
