FCA tells firms not to close branches during lockdown

FCA is concerned that some banks and building societies are going ahead with their plans to close branches despite the new lockdown, or are announcing new branch closures.  It reminds them of its guidance published in September, and says that closures could have significant consequences for customers and tells firm to be sure their plans mean the firm continues to comply with FCA’s Principles and its guidance.
