FATF consults on enhancing cross-border payments

FATF is consulting on how the challenges of cross border payments – namely high cost, low speed, limited access and limited transparency – can best be addressed. The survey builds on the G20 commitment to enhance cross-border payments as a priority. FATF says one of the factors that contributes to the challenges could be divergent AML/CFT measures.

The questionnaire seeks feedback that will establish areas of divergence and challenges that result.

FATF asks for responses by 15 January 2021.
