Ombudsman News looks at trends and stats

The latest edition of Ombudsman News looks at its recently published complaints data (previously featured in  detail in FIN), which saw a rise in complaints from people who borrowed money and then felt the debt was unaffordable. Generally, complaints are rising, and PPI still comprises the largest number of complaints, although this is falling.

The newsletter also outlines (again, as separately reported) a note of how FOS approaches complaints about consumer credit and other lending as well as its approach to complaints caused or affected by Covid-19, and also sets out the key elements of FOS’s latest annual report and accounts.
