Default notices amendment regulations published

HM Treasury has published the Consumer Credit (Enforcement, Default and Termination Notices (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 which come into force on 2nd December 2020 and firms must have implemented the changes within 6 months of that date.

The regulations amend the Consumer Credit (Enforcement, Default and Termination Notices) Regulations 1983 which prescribe the way that notices under section 76, 87 and 98 need to be given.

If you’d like our detailed breakdown of the changes, get in touch with Caroline Stevenson.
