Current accounts for expats post-Brexit

The Treasury Committee recently wrote to the FCA seeking clarification on the notice period that should be given to current account customers who are being told their accounts will be closed once the transition period with the EU ends.

The FCA has published their response today noting that firms should be given fair warning, in line with the contractual terms applicable to their account.

The FCA has also confirmed that timely communications should be given to all customers to ensure they are treated fairly.
