PRA consults on IRB approach to UK mortgage risk weights

PRA is consulting on rule changes to address the prudential risks that stem from inappropriately low IRB mortgage risk weights.   A by-product of the proposals would also narrow the differentials between IRB and standardised approach risk weights and limit future divergence.  PRA feels this would be helpful to competition.
