The CMA has written to Cardiff Pinnacle about two breaches of the PPI Order:
- breach 1: 77 customers did not receive their Annual Reviews on time; and
- breach 2: 167 customers did not receive accurate information in their Annual Reviews.
As part of the response, Cardiff Pinnacle will send apology letters to those customers affected by the breaches, also providing the customers with an opportunity to cancel their policies.
To avoid future breaches, Cardiff Pinnacle has also agreed to manually QA 100% of Annual Reviews generated for at least a month to ensure the system has fixed the issue.
No further enforcement action will be taken at this stage.
