Increasing calls for extension of Complaints Scheme consultation

The Treasury Committee has received increasing numbers of representations that the 8 week consultation period that ended today (14 September) to submit comments on the revised regulatory complaints scheme, was too short.  Mel Stride praised the regulators for looking to improve the scheme through which people can complain against them, but criticised them for rushing through the consultation over the summer and during a pandemic.
