Emma RadmoreLisa Osofsky has spoken on SFO’s most recent enforcement activity and its priorities for the future.
She spoke about how SFO has worked on its priorities of better cooperation, use of technology, intelligence capability and a greater pace to investigations. She specifically mentioned how technology had helped SFO reach a resolution on Rolls Royce many years before it would otherwise have done so. She noted that increasing pace was never going to be a quick or easy process. She also discussed recent DPAs and the ongoing use: she stressed that DPAs are the way of ensuring companies admit their fraud and corruption and that a conviction and fine do not provide that.
