EP adopts green finance measures

The European Parliament has adopted legislation that sets 6 environmental objectives and allows activity to be labelled as environmentally sustainable if it meets at least one of them without significantly harming any of the others. The aim is to boost green investments and prevent “greenwashing”, and will mandate the Commission to define activities that are environmentally harmful.

The new rules will come into force once published in the OJEU.
