Commission consults on green finance preferences

The European Commission is consulting on a set of  draft delegated Regulations that would oblige AIFs and other investment funds, investment firms, insurance firms and brokers, (re)insurers and mutual funds to advise clients on social and environmental aspects of their investments and products.

The Regulations aim to build on the sustainability disclosure and benchmarks Regulation, and the taxonomy, and will require the relevant entities to carry out assessments of sustainability including, where appropriate, the preferences of clients and investors, and then take these into account in their business.

Consultation closes on 6 July.
