Emma RadmoreFCA has updated its information page for firms, in respect of professional qualification exams. It notes that while professional exams are being cancelled, firms must still ensure employees have the skills, knowledge and expertise they need to discharge their responsibilities. But it will not take action against firms who have not been able to ensure employees get qualifications within set time periods because of these cancellations. It will generally allow a further 12 months if required and appropriate, and will adopt the approach in relation to exams postponed or cancelled up to the end of October.
