Emma RadmoreUK Finance announced today that the card transactional contactless limit will be increasing from £30 to £45 with the roll out starting on 1 April.
The changes may take a while for retailers to implement, especially those under strain due to Covid-19 but a gradual increase in retailers accepting the higher limit should be seen by consumers in the coming months.
Financial institutions will need to review their credit and debit card terms to check whether any stated limit will require to be varied.
