HMRC investigating 30 for CFA breach

In response to several FOIA requests, HMRC has published statistics on what it is doing to police the CFA offence of failure to prevent facilitation of tax evasion.

As at the end of 2019, it had 9 live investigations underway with another 21 possibilities under review. The investigations cover many business sectors, including financial services, oil and construction.
