Pay.uk calls for views on retail payment standards

Pay.uk is seeking views on the recommended approach of how global standard ISO 20022 should be used as part of the standards for the NPA. Its consultation builds on previous agreements and the direction it has previously consulted on. It includes a recommended direction on the adoption of ISO 20022 for the clearing and settlement capability to be enabled by the NPA infrastructure, foundational technical details and future direction on concepts that have emerged from previous consultations and merit further consideration.

Consultation closes on 31 March and Pay.uk plans to publish the findings in the second half of the year.
