EBA finds “identified staff” RTS working well

EBA has conducted a peer review of how national regulators have applied its RTS on the criteria for identifying staff whose professional activities have a material impact on an institution’s risk profile. The report found regulators were doing well, and highlights some examples of best practice, as well as some weaknesses in certain regulators. The main criticism was the inability of some regulators to apply proportionality which can lead to some institutions being excluded from supervisory review.
