Prudential appeals annuity transfer judgment

Prudential Plc has confirmed that it has lodged an appeal against the High Court’s refusal  to approve the transfer of £11.2 billion worth of annuities from the Prudential Assurance Company to Rothesay Life.

The Court of Appeal is not expected to hear the case before Spring 2020, with a decision being handed down later in the year.
