BEIS review of Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations

The Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has completed its 5 year review of the Consumer Contracts Regulations.  While these regulations broadly exclude financial services, they may be engaged where there is a linked credit or insurance contract.

Overall the report noted that responses were positive.  However there was an acknowledgment of the value of guidance for all parties, from consumers to business and enforcers, and the government noted that this would be considered via a forthcoming Consumer White Paper.
