FCA publishes research on consumer attitudes to cryptoassets

The FCA has published a survey and qualitative research they commissioned to examine UK consumer attitudes to cryptoassets.

Although the research revealed a prevailing lack of understanding about cryptoassets, it also indicated a very low level of take-up: only an estimated 3% of consumers have ever bought cryptoassets, and about have of those spent under £200.  This therefore indicates that, on the current basis of activity in the market, the magnitude of potential harms may not be as great as previously feared.
