EBA publishes stress test results

EBA has published the results of its 2018 EU-wide stress tests.

This year’s test involved 48 banks from 15 countries and generally shows increased resilience and capacity to withstand the shocks the exercise tested. The exercise did not have a defined pass/fail threshold but rather sought to give supervisors a tool to assess banks’ ability to meet prudential requirements and assist in individual discussion between supervisors and banks.

Four UK banks participated in the test.
