UK retail payments authority re-named and re-branded

The New Payment System Operator (NPSO) has today announced its new name and brand: Pay.UK

The new name and identity is aimed at helping the payments authority to better promote its core purpose, which is to transform the “UK’s payment infrastructure to enable a vibrant economy – as well as being a logical progression following the recent consolidation of the UK’s three retail payment schemes into the NPSO.”

Pay.UK’s responsibilities include ensuring that UK payments systems, which are relied upon for banking transactions are safe, open, innovative and resilient.
