FCA’s latest “Regulation Round up” focuses on:
- some big issues FCA plans to address in 2017, such as the progress of the FAMR, the extension of the SMR and the closure of lending reviews;
- the interim report on the Asset Management Market Study, reminding that the consultation period for responding on the remedies FCA proposed to address certain areas closes on 20 February;
- firms’ resilience to third party trading platform outages following FCA’s sample of firms’ business continuity planning after the Bloomberg network failure;
- reminding firms FCA’s advice unit is open for applications from firms relating to automated advisory or DIM services, until 3 February;
- highlighting FCA’s recent MiFID 2 publications, specifically its application and user guide and its fourth consultation paper;
- its open consultation on the review of CASS following changes in the Special Administration Regime – and particularly on the client money distribution rules;
- its finalised guidance on guarantor lending;
- the conclusions of the general insurance add-ons market study; and
its update on work on review of the CCA retained provisions
